I am an avid Waterfowler and a strong believer in getting young kids involved in the sport. The youth need our support, and we need them to preserve the future of waterfowling and our wetlands.
Dylan, Bob and Paul 2000 I made my first call after my Lab pup, "Nuts," chomped on my custom-made Bamboo call and broke it. I knew I could make my own, so I went to it. I made that first one just like the Bamboo call. It was hard to blow and not very durable. I must say I mastered that call and it was loud and raspy, but it took too much air to blow it. At that point I wanted a call that was durable, loud, and very easy to blow. I had bought many commercial calls but they just didn't get it done for me. I knew I had to make the calls from premium wood with high oil content to withstand the moisture of Duck Hunting. That brings us to Coim Calls. I named my calls after my late father, Coim, which was the nickname my grandfather gave him. I produce about 100 calls annually, and each call is made to order. I don't generally keep the calls in inventory ~ I prefer to make calls specific to each owner. Today, the best days in life, are the days spent hunting on the Snake River with my two sons, Bob and Dylan, and our Lab Sprig and Chessy Lexy.
